Friday 4th September and we had our 1st meeting of 2009-2010 season. The meeting attracted old members and a number of new faces.
This is a momentous year for the club as our 60th Anniversary Exhibition will be in October.
Our programme for the evening started with an appropriate subject 'Print Presentation' with Tom Morgan
Tom gave us all the 'heads up' in respect of a subject that he has practised with super results down the years.
The subject was explored at length and a healthy discussion ensued.
Next on was Vice Chairman Victor Houston, who gave a learned presentation on the art of camera sensor cleaning. All aspects of the process were presented and we were able to explore the process fully.
Many questions were asked and dealt with with great assurance.
Michael Maguire the gave a super presentation on the merits and the history of digital photography. Michael gave an in depth resume for the older and the newer members. All aspects of the genre provided much discussion and the questions were answered with dexterity.
After the break during which Dessie Taggart provided the tea and coffee, Kieran Murray presented a most interesting conclusion to the evening. Kieran showed us a most excellent series of pictures mounted in regulation size mounts. We all marvelled at the quality and were enthralled to learn that the colour prints all A3 were produced for under £1 each. Add to the cost of the presented mounts and each finished picture was about the same cost as a home produced print
