A few years after the end of the second world war some business and professional people
decided it was time to introduce the arts into the town of Banbridge.

Dr Cocks and Mr Wilson who taught in Banbridge Academy formed a Photographic Society.

With the dedication of the office bearers and the members Banbridge Camera Club has prospered for sixty years.

Members have exhibited in National and International Exhibitions and Salons.

The club has won Ten All Ireland Club titles and is recognized as one of the leading photographic clubs in Ireland.
